German police breaks up pro-Palestinian protests

Earlier today, German Police dispersed a demonstration staged by several hundred pro-Palestinian activists who had occupied a courtyard at Berlin’s Free University.

The activists had erected approximately 20 tents and formed a human chain around them.

Authorities used loudspeakers to urge the students to vacate the campus.

Many protesters wore medical masks, covering their faces, and had wrapped keffiyehs around their heads while chanting slogans such as “viva, viva Palestina.”

Over the past few days, students in various countries including Finland, Denmark, Italy, Spain, France, and the UK have either protested or established encampments in solidarity with Palestine.
