Global Shapers Islamabad Hub Hosts Leaders of Future Bootcamp

In a landmark event organized by Global Shapers Islamabad Hub, an initiative of the World Economic Forum at TMUC Islamabad, the Leaders of the Future Bootcamp 5.0 unfolded with a dynamic agenda designed to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders. The boot camp, held in the vibrant city of Islamabad, brought together visionaries, thought leaders and change-makers to address the critical issue of climate change.

The event commenced with a compelling Introduction and Opening Words led by esteemed Project Leads and curators, setting the tone for an intellectually charged atmosphere. Attendees were seamlessly integrated through an engaging Ice-breaking Activity, fostering connections and collaboration.

The boot camp featured an impressive lineup of speakers, each lending their expertise to diverse facets of climate action. Zunaira Majeed, in her role as the 1st Speaker, passionately addressed the significance of Youth Voices in Climate Action, resonating with the theme of empowerment and inclusivity.

Kashaf Alvi took the stage for an Inclusivity Session, shedding light on the imperative need to prioritize At-Risk Populations during climate change challenges. Shehrbano Jamali followed suit, offering profound insights into the intersection of Climate change and Global Health, making a compelling case for urgent action.

Fizz Amjad brought innovation to the forefront with a discussion on Climate-Smart Housing, emphasizing the role of sustainable architecture in building a resilient future. Nameer Urfi delved into Tech Solutions for Climate Change, highlighting the pivotal role of technology in addressing environmental challenges.

Waqas Ramzan, in a session on Policy and Climate Change, explored the critical intersection of governance and environmental sustainability, presenting strategies for shaping a resilient future. Maha Kamal, as the 5th Speaker, shared invaluable perspectives on Climate Change and governance, contributing to the holistic understanding of the issue.

The event also featured a Trivia & Winner Announcement session, led by Fatima Asghar and Maryam Waheed, injecting a dose of fun and camaraderie into the serious discussions. The closing remarks, delivered by Ms. Sualeha Kamal and Maaz Ali Nadeem, encapsulated the essence of the boot camp, leaving attendees inspired and motivated.
