Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman sworn in as Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman assumed office as the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami in a solemn ceremony held at the party’s headquarters in Mansoora, Lahore.

The occasion coincided with the commencement of the Central Majlis Shura meeting scheduled from April 19 to 21, also taking place in Mansoora.

In his inaugural address, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman underscored Jamaat-e-Islami’s 83-year-long struggle, emphasizing the need to confront the powerful mafias that exploit the marginalized sections of society. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to achieving its goals through the democratic process, rejecting any notion of attaining power through subversion.

Highlighting the unresolved issue of Kashmir, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman lamented the lack of effective representation for the Kashmiri people in parliamentary forums.

Expressing concern over the performance of incumbent political leadership, the newly appointed Amir announced plans for a robust movement against what he termed as the “Form 47 government.” He vowed to uphold Jamaat-e-Islami’s tradition of selfless service to the nation, emphasizing that the party stands apart from dynastic politics and is dedicated to the welfare of all citizens, regardless of background.

Emphasizing the party’s unwavering commitment to constitutional supremacy, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman asserted that Jamaat-e-Islami would not seek alliances based on expediency. He urged the populace to prepare themselves to assert their rights in the face of escalating challenges confronting the nation.
