Hajj travelers are urged to ensure vaccination five days before departure

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony recommended on Saturday that prospective pilgrims should receive vaccination at least five days prior to their journey to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage.

“The intending pilgrims are encouraged to attend their designated Haji camps five days prior to their flight (from 9 am to 5 pm) to receive vaccinations for meningitis, seasonal influenza, and polio, in addition to obtaining a yellow card,” the ministry announced on its official Facebook page.

“This requirement is obligatory,” it emphasized.

Furthermore, it stated that each pilgrim would be provided with a kit comprising a large travel bag, a small hand-carry bag, a shoe bag, an Ihram belt for men, and a scarf for women.
