Hareem Shah playfully teases PM Modi after India’s World Cup defeat

Renowned Pakistani TikToker Hareem Shah took a jab at Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi following India’s loss in the ICC World Cup final.

The high-stakes match concluded with Australia emerging victorious, clinching their sixth cricket world championship title after defeating India by 6 wickets at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In response to the defeat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to the social networking platform X (formerly Twitter) to share a message of encouragement for the Indian team. Modi expressed, “You played with great passion throughout the World Cup, the nation is very proud of you, I and the whole of India always stand with you.”

However, Hareem Shah, known for her wit and humor, couldn’t resist adding a touch of satire. In response to Modi’s post, she playfully remarked, “Modi G, itni cheating kr k bhi har gye,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.

Shah took to her official X account to share an image featuring Indian cricketer Virat Kohli lying face down on the ground in disappointment after the final loss, while Anushka Sharma sat nearby with a shocked expression. In her post, the TikToker expressed gratitude on behalf of the Pakistani nation to Australia for “teaching shameless India a lesson for life.”

This was India’s first defeat in the tournament. Despite winning all nine league matches in the World Cup and securing a spot in the semi-finals, the Indian team faced a disappointing outcome in the final as the Kangaroos dashed their hopes.
