Lahore: The Lahore High Court has postponed the hearing on various petitions for the restoration of X (formerly Twitter) until April 2.
In the Lahore High Court, a hearing was held on various petitions for the restoration of the social media app X (Twitter) during which Justice Asim Hafeez postponed the hearing on Advocate Huzaifa Naeem’s petition.
During the hearing, Justice Asim Hafeez inquired about the nature of the request to which the petitioner informed the court that the PTI government had made access to X impossible for citizens. In response, Justice Asim Hafeez remarked that a minister had suggested a very good solution the other day advising the use of VPN.
In reply, the petitioner stated that if the police say not to take a certain route because there are robbers then that is not a solution.
The petitioner requested the court to declare the suspension of Twitter illegal and instruct the authorities to ensure public access to Twitter.
The court deferred the hearing on the request until April 2.
