Horrific DI Khan truck-container accident claimed at least five lives

A truck collided with a container In Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday, leaving at least five people dead, including two children, and two more wounded (K-P).

The bodies have been taken to Darazinda Hospital by Rescue 1122.

According to early media reports, the container’s brakes failed, which led to the catastrophe. According to reports, the vehicle was carrying cement and the container contained garments.

At least 25 passengers were killed last month when a passenger bus collided with a car on the Karakoram Highway and went into a ditch close to the Shitial neighborhood in the Upper Kohistan province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The bus was traveling from Gilgit to Rawalpindi, as per the reports.

According to eyewitness accounts cited by local media reports, the bus, and the car collided as a result of speeding, and both cars then slid into the ditch.

Residents of the area found the deceased and the injured and then transported them to the Chilas Regional Headquarters Hospital where doctors confirmed that 25 people had died.
