Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that Shehbaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah and Major General Faisal were behind his assassination attempt. He reiterated to give a call again for the long march to Islamabad as soon as he recovers. Imran asked the people to continue protests until the three resign.
Calling on General Bajwa he said that the army has been a necessity of the country and this was constructive criticism; therefore Major Faisal’s resignation should be taken for proper investigation.
Calling on the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) he has said that the responsibility also lies with him as he demands justice. He said that there cannot be justice unless these three resign because the investigators will be under them.
Imran said that he was hit with four bullets. He said that he had reports that he will be attacked one day prior to the attack. Imran said that the anti-Islam narrative was propagated against him as a result of which his assassination attempt was designed. He said that he had told on September 24 rally about the plot. He said that he was shot from down first and then from the front; one of the attackers was arrested but there are still some people involved in it.
He asked General Bajwa if these acts will increase the army’s respect. He said that the people in the army have been raising hatred among the public. He said that the black sheep were causing a negative impact on the army.
PTI Chairman said that Rana Sanaullah was behind Model Town incident. He said that an international report had stated that Shehbaz Sharif had got killed 900 persons by police that was testified by Abid Boxer.
He said that Major General Faisal had given the assurance that he will handle the matter. Shehbaz Gill, Jameel Farooqi and Azam Swati were picked, tortured, denuded and tortured to spread fear.
Imran said that a handler [major general Faisal] was posted in Islamabad who went hard on every journalist speaking in favor of PTI. Party members were threatened and instead of realizing mistakes they were using force to further suppress PTI. He further added that Major General Faisal has done everything to manipulate things against PTI; journalists have been under great pressure since his appointment.
Addressing live from Shaukat Khanum Hospital Lahore Imran said that the way to stop is only one through political stability or else there could be bloodshed. Imran said that his servants were paid for spying, his phones were tapped and people around him were being threatened. He said that CEC, ECP and FIA have told him that they were forced because of pressure from upper ends.
He also asked Dr Faisal Sultan to explain about his injury in detail. Sultan briefed about the x-rays as how and where the bullets had hit inside Imran’s body. Dr Faisal said that Imran’s right leg was hit with bullets. He said that the bullet had hit near artery and due to that the bleeding was hard to stop and there was fracture as well.
