IGP for utilising retired police officers’ experience

Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar has said that the retired police employees are the asset of Punjab Police and the department should benefit from their valuable experience. The IG Punjab directed the field officers to stay in touch with the retired employees in their districts and ensure that the problems faced by them are resolved on a priority basis.  IG Punjab directed the DIG Welfare Punjab to resolve the pension, financial assistance and other departmental issues of the retired employees of Punjab Police on priority basis.  IG Punjab said that medical, education and other facilities are being provided to the retired employees and their children under the Punjab Police Welfare Policy 2022 and the series of measures in this regard will continue in the future. IG Punjab directed that the Welfare Branch should keep in close touch with the retired employees and provide them with all possible relief so that the serving police employees have to face minimum problems.  He expressed these views today while meeting the retired employees of Punjab Police at the Central Police Office. According to reports, a delegation of retired employees of Punjab Police met IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar at Central Police Office.  Retired police employees from different regions of Punjab participated in the meeting. The retired employees informed the IG Punjab about their various problems, upon which IG Punjab issued orders for resolution of their problems. The retired police employees paid thanks to IG Punjab for issuing direction to resolve their matters. DIG Welfare and other officers also participated in the meeting.
