Imran Khan should have been sent to jail in July or August, says Rana Sanaullah

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should have been sent to jail in July or August.

He was responding to a question from a journalist. The journalist had asked that Imran Khan has been saying that he would become more dangerous in jail.

The Interior minister also said that PTI Chairman should have been sent to jail in July or August as the season of going to jail was passing.

Answering the question on missing persons’ cases, the minister said that there could not be greater cruelty than to make the loved ones of people disappear.

Rana Sanaullah also said that people have been given relief, the way Chief Justice (CJ) Islamabad High Court (IHC) Athar Minallah has stressed the case.

He said that if Chief Justice Athar Minallah conducts an in-camera hearing it could help address the issue. He further added that some facts could not be explained in an open court.

Earlier, on the previous day, the IHC had directed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for two months to recover the missing persons. The PM had assured the CJ Minallah of vigorous efforts.
