New York: Instagram has introduced a feature to amplify original content by changing its algorithm.
Previously, accounts with more followers on Instagram had their content distributed more widely. Even if an account with fewer followers shared content first, the algorithm did not prioritize its distribution. However, with the recent changes accounts that share content first will now be prioritized for virality.
According to a blog post by the social sharing application Instagram, the platform has initiated changes in its algorithm to promote original content.
The blog post explains that after the recent changes instead of prioritizing accounts with more followers, the algorithm will now prioritize the content of the account where the content was first shared.
Furthermore, if any other user shares original content, Instagram will recommend the original account. Similarly, an option will also be available for accounts sharing someone else’s content to provide a link to the original account.
According to the social sharing application Instagram, after the changes in the algorithm content from accounts with fewer followers will also be amplified to ensure equal opportunities for everyone on the platform.
