New York: Instagram is set to introduce a new feature called ‘Blend’ for the convenience of its users.
Under the ownership of Meta, the photo and video-sharing app Instagram has initiated preparations to introduce the ‘Blend’ feature allowing users to create feeds according to their preferences.
With this feature, when an Instagram user invites a friend to ‘Blend,’ the app will generate a feed tailored to the mutual interests of the user and their friend.
This ‘Blend’ feed will consist of videos based on the shared interests of the Instagram user and their friend providing content that both parties find engaging. It will be limited to just two individuals, ensuring privacy and users can exit the blend at any time.
This popular social media app’s new feature bears striking resemblance to the ‘Spotify’ feature introduced in 2021 which allowed users to save their favourite songs in a shared playlist. However, this feature is currently under testing.
