Iranian President expresses desire to address ‘public gathering’ in Pakistan

During his visit to the mausoleum of Allama Muhammad Iqbal in Lahore, President Raisi expressed his disappointment at not being able to address a public rally in Pakistan due to unfavorable circumstances.

Despite this setback, he conveyed a profound sense of belonging, stating that he didn’t feel like a stranger at all while being in Pakistan. He acknowledged the deep emotional connection shared between the Iranian and Pakistani people, underscoring the enduring ties between the two nations.

Raisi went on to commend Islamabad for its principled stance on the issue of Gaza, recognizing the importance of solidarity in such matters. Moreover, he highlighted the significance of Allama Iqbal to Iran, portraying him as an immensely influential figure whose teachings continue to resonate across borders.

Through his remarks, President Raisi stated the mutual respect and admiration between Iran and Pakistan, rooted in shared values and historical connections.
