Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi made his way to Lahore from Islamabad during his trip to Pakistan. He was warmly greeted by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz upon his arrival at Lahore Airport, with Provincial Information Minister Azma Bokhari also in attendance.

The streets of Lahore were adorned with welcoming banners in honor of the Iranian President’s visit. Raisi’s itinerary in Lahore includes visits to iconic landmarks such as Minar-e-Pakistan, the Iqbal Museum, the Badshahi Mosque, and the Shahi Fort. Additionally, a dinner hosted by the Chief Minister awaits him at the Governor House.

Following his meetings with Punjab Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman, Raisi will head to Karachi, where he’ll be welcomed by Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah. His agenda in Karachi includes a visit to the Mazar-e-Quaid and meetings with members of the business community.

Both Lahore and Karachi are observing a local holiday today in honor of President Ibrahim Raisi’s visit. As per administrative orders, schools, colleges, universities, and both public and private offices are closed to mark the occasion.
