Recently a video of a female driver went viral on social media whose fit of rage led to a disturbing incident in the capital city of Islamabad when she ran over a traffic officer after being stopped for a violation.
Despite speculation linking her to anchorperson Amir Mateen, senior journalist and anchorperson Hamid Mir has refuted these claims.
She can be seen shouting insults and eventually driving her car into the officer, causing him to be thrown into the air before fleeing the scene. The Islamabad Traffic Police confirmed the incident occurred in January, and charges were filed against the woman.
According to reports, the female driver has allegedly fled abroad. While there is speculation linking her to Amir Mateen, Mir clarified that the journalist in question does not have a wife.
Hamid Mir commented on the incident, stating that while the woman’s actions were wrong and she should face consequences, there was unnecessary controversy surrounding her identity. He emphasized that the journalist allegedly linked to her does not have a wife, debunking claims made by some individuals.
