Islamabad court approves 2 days physical remand of Sheikh Rashid Ahmad

Islamabad court has granted two days physical remand of Awami Muslim League (AML) chief and Imran Khan’s Ally Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, hours after he was arrested by Police.

AML Chief was arrested for alleging Ex-President Asif Ali Zardari of plotting Imran khan’s murder.

The vice president of the PPP Rawalpindi Division Raja Inayatur Rehman submitted a police complaint after the AML leader allegedly claimed that Zardari had received help from some terrorists to organize Imran’s murder in a television interview on January 27.

He alleged that a new assassination operation, or “plan C,” was being orchestrated by Zardari, and a terrorist organization had been hired to carry it out. He didn’t provide any supporting details for his allegations.

Today’s court session was presided over by Judicial Magistrate Omar Shabbir who granted 2 days of physical remand of Sheikh Rashid.

The police and the prosecution both asked for the politician’s physical detention for eight days during today’s session.

However, the judge announced the reserved decision, allowing the police to physically detain the AML leader for two days.
