Jamaat-e-Islami loses 2 seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly

Jamaat-e-Islami has lost its remaining 2 seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Independent candidates backed by Tehreek-e-Insaaf have emerged victorious in PK 20 and 21 Bajaur, according to official results.

With these losses in PK 20 and 21, Jamaat-e-Islami now has no representation in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.

The victory of Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Sardar Khan in PK-21 Bajaur has been overturned. PTI-supported independent candidate Ajmal Khan secured 16,712 votes, leading Jamaat-e-Islami’s Sardar Khan, who garnered 8,128 votes.

Similarly, Maulana Waheed Gul, the Jamaat-e-Islami candidate for PK-20 Bajaur, has suffered a defeat. PTI-backed independent candidate Anwar Zeib Khan emerged victorious with 12,903 votes, while Maulana Waheed Gul received 6,869 votes.
