Jinnah House attack: Khadija Shah to be presented before ATC

Punjab Police on Tuesday night arrested Khadija Shah, the primary suspect in the attack on the Lahore Corps Commander House [Jinnah House], who will be presented in anti-terrorism court (ATC) today.

Khadija Shah was detained on Tuesday and afterward moved to a women police station. According to reports, Superintendent of Police (SP) Anush Masood would look into the matter involving the fashion designer.

The PTI supporter, despite having promised to do so, did not turn herself in to the authorities even though her husband and other family members had been detained.

Following the arrest of party Chairman Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case, PTI stormed the home and set it ablaze on May 9.

Shah acknowledged being a PTI fan and taking part in the demonstration outside the Lahore Corps Commander’s House in a recent audio message, of over a 16-minute, but she denied doing anything wrong, including encouraging violence.

Shah is the daughter of Dr. Salman Shah, a former adviser to the Punjab government under Usman Buzdar and a part of the finance team for former president Parvez Musharraf.

Additionally, she is a former army general’s granddaughter.
