Jolly LLB 3: Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi land in trouble after shooting

Legal woes hit the production of Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s upcoming film, “Jolly LLB 3,” shortly after filming commenced.

Chandrabhan Singh Rathod, President of the Ajmer District Bar Association, filed a lawsuit against the movie, alleging that its content undermines the integrity of the judiciary, as reported by an Indian media outlet.

The court scheduled a hearing for May 7 after Rathod sought an injunction to halt the film’s production.

Rathod named the producer, director, and actors of “Jolly LLB 3” in his complaint, accusing them of ridiculing lawyers and judges.

In an interview with the media outlet, Rathod explained that he initiated legal action after viewing the previous two installments of the “Jolly LLB” franchise.

He criticized the actors for allegedly disregarding the reputation and honor of the judiciary and its members.

Arshad Warsi originally starred in the franchise, with Akshay Kumar leading the second installment. Both actors recently announced the start of filming for “Jolly LLB 3.”

Rathod cited specific scenes from the previous films that he deemed offensive to the judiciary and legal professionals.

He highlighted instances such as physically assaulting a lawyer, a judge consuming tobacco, and depicting monetary transactions as actions that demean the judiciary and legal practitioners.
