Journalist Shahid Aslam gets bail in Bajwa data leak case

Journalist Shahid Aslam has been granted bail in a case related to the leak of tax data of former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Special Judge Central Islamabad heard the bail application of journalist Shahid Aslam, in which lawyers Raja Qadeer and Ahmed Khokhar argued on behalf of Shahid Aslam.

The court accepted the post-arrest bail application of journalist Shahid Aslam and ordered him to submit a bond of Rs 50,000.

Earlier, senior journalist Shahid Aslam was detained by the Federal Investigation Agency in Lahore (FIA) on accusations of leaking the personal tax data of former COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa to fact focus.
