Kate Middleton reveals cancer diagnosis in emotional video message

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has disclosed in a heartfelt video message that she has been diagnosed with cancer.

She revealed that the cancer was discovered during abdominal surgery earlier in the year and that she is now undergoing preventative chemotherapy as advised by her medical team.

The news has come as a shock to the royal family, as both she and King Charles are battling cancer simultaneously.

Speculation about Kate’s health has been rampant online, but she took her time to personally inform her children before sharing the news with the public.

In the video, she expressed gratitude for the care she has received and praised her husband, Prince William, for his support.

“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful. In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous.”

“The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

“As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.

“But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok.”

Kate emphasized the importance of privacy for her family during this difficult time and asked for understanding as she focuses on her treatment and recovery.

Messages of support have poured in from around the world, including from political figures like Rishi Sunak and Karine Jean-Pierre.

Kate’s future engagements will depend on her health and medical advice, but for now, her priority is her well-being and her family’s privacy.
