Defence Minister Khawaja Asif criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday for forming a three-member team to discuss matters with the country’s establishment.
While speaking to the media in Sialkot, Asif referred to what happened on May 9. He said, “Military sites were targeted under the banner of ‘real freedom.'”
Asif pointed out that the PTI founder had previously used offensive language against Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He added, “On May 9, a red line was crossed. Military buildings were damaged in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.”
According to Asif, the PTI leadership was involved in those attacks.
He stated that the PTI founder wasn’t even willing to hold talks with them on issues like Abhinandan’s capture.
