The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, led by PTI, set the price of wheat at Rs3900 per maund and announced that it will begin buying wheat from farmers on May 7.
To ensure “transparency,” the KP government is taking special steps in its wheat procurement drive. This includes involving representatives from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and anti-corruption bodies in overseeing the purchase process.
All warehouses used for storing wheat are equipped with CCTV cameras to further enhance monitoring and security.
The wheat procurement will run in different districts from May 7 to May 15. Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners are responsible for managing this process in their respective areas.
The Chief Minister of KP instructed officials to carry out the wheat procurement drive efficiently.
