Lahore and parts of Punjab to experience rain and hailstorms

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rainfall and isolated hailstorms in Lahore and certain areas of Punjab on Friday night and Saturday.

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is prevailing over central and upper parts of Pakistan, expected to persist until August 31.

Under these circumstances, rain, wind, and thunderstorms are anticipated in various regions including Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and others. Additionally, isolated hailstorms may occur during this period.

In Lahore, temperatures are expected to range between 32-34 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.

Recent rainfall has been reported in parts of Punjab over the past 24 hours, with Sialkot, Rawalpindi, and Mandi Bahauddin among the areas receiving precipitation.

Meanwhile, dry weather has prevailed in other areas of the province. Bahawalpur recorded the highest temperature at 34 degrees Celsius, while Lahore reached a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius.
