Lahore will get electric buses soon, announces CM Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that Lahore will see the electric buses on roads soon.

She made this announcement during the inauguration of the remodeling project of the Shahdara Metrobus Station in Lahore.

CM Punjab highlighted the importance of public transport in combating environmental pollution and inspected the facilities, including a new counter for female passengers.

She emphasized the provision of excellent service to all passengers and received a briefing on the station’s renovations before boarding the metro bus to Gaddafi Stadium.

Secretary of Transport and Mass Transit Authority, Ahmed Javed Qazi, informed CM Nawaz that the metro bus caters to over 176,000 passengers daily, with 25,000 utilizing the Shahdara station.

Additionally, Maryam Nawaz addressed the closing ceremony of the first Chief Minister Pink Games, announcing the launch of a free motorbike scheme for women.
