Lahore High Court on Thursday once again gave an ultimatum to police to recover Journalist Imran Riaz Khan.
Chief Justice LHC Muhammad Ameer Bhatti presided over the hearing.
LHC after listening to the remarks from both sides ask IG Punjab to present all facts regarding this case tomorrow (Friday) at 12.15 pm.
Imran Riaz Khan was detained by the police last week, but the Lahore High Court is upset since it is unclear where the journalist is today.
SHO Sialkot Cantt was previously suspended by Chief Justice LHC Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti on Monday after he failed to persuade the court of the justification for the detention of anchor Imran Riaz Khan.
Imran Riaz’s close friends and family fears torture reports about him and are very vocal in their support on social media.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan also condemned Imran Riaz’s illegal arrest and said he is aware of where Imran Riaz is. He said, “Imran is picked up by the same people who killed Arshad Sharif.”
Imran Riaz was also arrested in July 2022 by Punjab Police after he was accused of inciting public sentiments.
