Magnitude 3.3 earthquake jolts Quetta

Once again, the nation was gripped by the unsettling force of nature as severe tremors, registering a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale, reverberated through the city of Quetta and its surrounding areas on Thursday.

According to data recorded by seismologists, the earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 23 kilometers south of Quetta, with the seismic activity occurring at a depth of 30 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface.

In the wake of the tremors, a palpable sense of fear permeated the affected regions, prompting residents to swiftly vacate buildings, seeking refuge in open spaces while reciting sacred verses for protection. Despite the intensity of the seismic event, no loss of life or damage to property was reported, offering a momentary reprieve amidst the heightened state of alarm.
