In a recent interview, Mahira Khan discussed the viral wedding pictures that took social media by storm last October, marking her union with Salim Karim. Contrary to popular belief, Khan revealed that those photos were captured spontaneously.
Unaware of the tradition where wedding photographers take pre-nikah photos, Khan insisted on waiting until after the official ceremony before posing with Salim. She wanted him to see her for the first time as his bride.
When the moment arrived, Khan and Salim signed the nikah papers separately, each in their own space. It was only after this that they came face to face, with Khan walking towards Salim. This authentic moment took precedence over staged photoshoots.
Despite the photographers’ urgency due to the setting sun, Khan prioritized living in the moment over perfect poses. They hastily captured some shots near a cliff, preserving the essence of their special day without excessive editorial demands.
Mahira Khan exchanged vows with Salim Karim, an entrepreneur and CEO of a Pakistani startup, in a private ceremony in Bhurban in October of the previous year.
