Malala meets Pakistan women cricketers

Nobel Peace Prize holder Malala Yousafzai and her husband Asser Malik met with the Pakistani women’s cricket squad and the U-19 women’s team before leaving for London.

Malala visited with U-19 women’s team stars Sidra Ameen, Diana Baig, and Tuba Hassan, as well as Eman Ali and Shawal Zulfiqar.

Malala addressed the athletes and offered her best wishes for their future endeavours, particularly the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023. Malala inspired the players to have confidence in their skills, keep training, and take full advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the game.

The players should constantly accept challenges, she continued, because success always lies beyond hardships and obstacles.

Malik revealed that they both enjoy watching cricket and do so frequently. He stated that they would try to attend the women’s World Cup matches.

The players gave Malala a blazer from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and a signed T-shirt.

Malala Yousafzai, her family, and her husband Asser Malik landed in Pakistan on Tuesday. Malala participated in several seminars and meetings, including one with the Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
