She made these remarks during a special ceremony held at Jinnah House in Lahore to honor the families of the martyrs, where she participated in lighting candles in their memory.
In her address, Maryam Nawaz expressed deep sorrow over the May 9 tragedy, emphasizing its significance as a dark moment in history where the nation endured a brutal onslaught. She stressed the necessity for those responsible for orchestrating such an attack to face the full consequences of their actions.
