Maryam Nawaz demands PTI to be treated like banned outfit

There was open revolt against state in Zaman Park, there are remnants of Imran’s facilitators, says PML-N leader

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president Maryam Nawaz has demanded that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should be treated like a banned terrorist organization.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, she said that the state will have to think of removing the tag of political party from PTI. She said that the state was at the back foot because it could not harm people but if action is not taken against this political party then that will raise question mark.

She said that PTI should be treated like a banned outfit. She said that she had seen pictures of terrorists present at Zaman Park. She added that there were remnants of Imran Khan’s facilitators and Zalmay Khalilzad’s tweet had made it clear.

PML-N Chief Organizer said that whatever was witnessed in Zaman Park has never happened in the history of the country. She said that politicians also accept the gallows for a particular purpose and have sacrificed immensely for democracy but Imran Khan was doing such things to avoid arrest.

Maryam Nawaz said that there was an open revolt against the state in Zaman Park. She said that Imran Khan had challenged the writ of the state and incited the rebellion, armed groups pelted stones and batons on the police.

The PML-N Chief Organizer said that Imran Khan has said that the government wanted to arrest him and send him to Balochistan.

Maryam Nawaz said that first they attacked Islamabad by bringing ‘jathas’ [groups] from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and recently the police from Gilgit-Baltistan have been brought in front of the Punjab Police. She said that the people of the banned organization were kept in Zaman Park.
