MDA director general briefs senior management course delegates on working

The officers of the 34th batch of senior management courses visited the Multan Development Authority (MDA) head office.

The delegation consisted of 16 officers of grade 19. Director General MDA Dr. Muhammad Zahid Ikram welcomed the delegation and gave them a briefing about the workings of the institution.

MSA Director General Dr. Muhammad Zahid Ikram while briefing the delegation about the working of MDA said that MDA has built 8 major housing schemes in Multan city. And 23 housing schemes MDA inherited from MIT.The

Multan Metro Bus Project is the biggest and most successful project in the history of MDA. Briefing about the ongoing development schemes of MDA, he said that 8 ADP and 9 self-funded development schemes have been accelerated by MDA. Work is in progress. Due to a lack of staff and resources the working of MDA is being digitized. The data of all the buildings and private housing schemes on the main highways within the MDA limits is being digitized through GISI-based mapping.

With the help of this, complete details of the building can be obtained by just one click on any building on the map. and this data is being updated continuously.

The Director General MDA briefed MDA’s by-laws and explained the action against illegal housing schemes and illegal commercial constructions taken.

With the help of this, the citizens can get 16 services of MDA. To provide all the facilities under one roof to the citizens coming to MDA, other services including Nadra verification and bank challan submission have been provided at the MDA office. He further informed that the work on paperless working is going on rapidly for which the data of three directorates of MDA has been digitized.

While the work of the rest of the Directorate is going on fast. Director General MDA Dr. Muhammad Zahid Ikram also answered the questions of the delegation.
