Metro bus accident in Rawalpindi injures passengers

A recent collision occurred involving a metro bus that was travelling between Rawalpindi and Islamabad, close to the Faiz Ahmad Faiz Station.

A number of passengers had relatively minor injuries as a consequence of the bus colliding with a perimeter wall, which caused many windows on the vehicle to shatter.

Reportedly, the bus driver was held responsible as he was attempting to get ahead of another vehicle while driving on a road with only one lane which led to the accident.

Previously in September, a similar collision took place in Lahore, where a metro bus hit a detached iron rod, injuring eight women in the process. Over 28 such incidents have been recorded in Lahore this year.
