Movie Kalki 2898 AD’s poster unveiled starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone

Enthusiasm is brewing among fans as the official unveiling of the release date for “Kalki 2989 AD” ignites anticipation.

While the majority of the film was shot in Telugu, certain scenes underwent reshoots in Hindi. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the Indian epic science-fiction dystopian movie is scheduled for a 2024 release.

It transports viewers to a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, drawing its narrative from Hindu mythology.

Headlining the ensemble cast are industry stalwarts such as Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, with Prabhas taking on the lead role.

The caption accompanying the latest poster release on Instagram from the “kalki2898ad” account resonates with hope, stating, “All the forces come together for a better tomorrow.”

Initially announced in February 2020, production faced a setback of one year due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Filming commenced in July 2021 at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, with shooting spanning intermittent periods over the following three years before culminating in March 2024.
