‘Murderers’ of Dolphin Force official affiliated with TTP

The group responsible for shooting a Dolphin Force official and injuring another during a recent police encounter on Murree Road has been linked to the banned outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

However, sources reveal that they were neither foot soldiers nor commanders of the TTP.

Police have handed over the two suspects, along with a mobile phone, photographs, an arms license copy, and a treatment record from a private hospital on Peshawar Road, to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).

The car used by the suspects has also been transferred to the CTD.

Meanwhile, authorities have sent a letter to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) to take action against the private hospital, its doctors, and medical staff who treated one of the suspects for a bullet injury in his leg in Tank before he was taken to the private hospital on Peshawar Road.

Police suspect that the group, having been spotted by an intelligence agency, was returning to Tank after receiving treatment when they encountered a Dolphin Force squad on Murree Road.

Two suspects, including the injured one, were arrested by law enforcement, while efforts are ongoing to locate the two escapees, including the group leader.

Of the four suspects, three were armed with 30-bore pistols.

The Dolphin Force official, who lost his life in the encounter, was shot with a 30-bore pistol by the suspects.

Initially, the police had difficulty identifying the arrested suspects. However, all suspects, including those in custody, have now been identified.

Investigators anticipate obtaining valuable leads from the mobile phone recovered from the suspects’ abandoned car during the encounter with Dolphin Force officials.
