NAB official investigating Panama Papers scandal and fake accounts cases transferred

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi Director General Irfan Mangi, who was investigating the Panama Papers scandal and fake accounts cases, has been transferred and posted in the Training and Research Division on Monday.

The posting has been approved by NAB Acting Chairman Zahir Shah.

Irfan Mangi, who was investigating dozens of high profile cases including the Panama Papers scandal and fake accounts cases, is no longer the DG of NAB Rawalpindi. After three and a half years of service, he has been removed and posted in the Training and Research Division.

DG NAB Balochistan Farmanullah has been appointed as the new director general of NAB Rawalpindi. Meanwhile, former DG NAB Multan Noman Aslam will be the new DG NAB Balochistan. Noman Aslam has been replaced by Fayyaz Ahmad Qureshi as new DG NAB Multan.

DG NAB Lahore Shehzad Saleem has also been removed from the post for the second time in a year. Last year, he was removed from the post and posted at the headquarters. However, on April 15, 2022, he was again given the charge of DG NAB Lahore.

According to the new notification, Shehzad Saleem has once again been removed from the post of DG NAB and posted at the headquarters, and will be replaced by Mirza Sultan Muhammad Saleem as the new DG NAB Lahore.

According to the notification, Masood Alam Khan has been posted as new DG NAB Sukkur.
