New revelations emerge in Maryam mysterious death on Bahawalpur Millat express

The circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of a woman aboard the Bahawalpur Millat Express have taken a startling turn, as the brother of the deceased, identified as Maryam, alleges that she was tortured to death during her journey from Karachi to Jaranwala for Eid.

According to the deceased’s brother, ASI Naseem contacted him on April 8 to inform him about his sister’s demise. Upon receiving the news, he rushed to the scene, where he was informed that his sister had fallen from the train.

However, following the circulation of a viral video after the funeral, the true nature of the incident came to light.

“There were visible signs of violence on my sister’s body. Our suspicion lies with the policeman seen in the video,” he asserted, accusing the policeman of forcibly removing his sister from the train and causing her death.

Expressing determination to pursue the case rigorously, Maryam’s brother pledged to engage with higher authorities.

Maryam, the deceased, hailed from Qayyumabad, Karachi C-Area, and the incident occurred on April 8.

In response to the allegations, Pakistan Railways spokesperson Babar Ali Raza stated that the individual responsible for assaulting the woman would not be released.

He reiterated that, according to initial statements, the woman had allegedly jumped from the moving train herself.

Babar Ali Raza further explained that the accused remains on bail, and investigations are ongoing. Railways Police personnel reportedly escorted the woman to another coach, and statements from children and passengers are being collected as part of the inquiry.
