New Zealand’s training session cancelled due to weather conditions

The New Zealand cricket team’s training session prior to the second T20I against Pakistan was called off due to adverse weather conditions in Rawalpindi.

Scheduled for April 20th, the second match of the five-match T20I series might face interruptions as rain is forecasted.

The first T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand was abandoned due to persistent rainfall at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, allowing only two balls of play before Shaheen Shah Afridi dismissed Tim Robinson.

Despite efforts to resume play, the match was eventually called off.

The toss for the anticipated fixture was delayed, and New Zealand’s captain, Michael Bracewell, opted to bat first after winning it.

However, rain further delayed proceedings, ultimately leading to the match’s abandonment. Despite the ground staff’s relentless efforts, the heavy rain dashed hopes of a five-over contest.

The squads for Pakistan and New Zealand were announced, with Babar Azam leading Pakistan and Michael Bracewell captaining New Zealand.
