North Korea tests ‘super-large missile’

According to the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korea carried out a power test for a “super-large warhead” in a strategic cruise missile and test-fired a new anti-aircraft missile this week.

The Missile Administration conducted the warhead test on the Hwasal-1 Ra-3 strategic cruise missile and launched its new Pyoljji-1-2 in the Yellow Sea on Friday, as per the KCNA report.

The report stated that the tests successfully achieved their objectives, emphasizing that they were routine activities aimed at advancing technological capabilities and were not related to the current situation.

These recent tests come after North Korea’s previous announcement on February 3 regarding a “cruise missile super-large warhead power test” and a test of a new anti-aircraft missile.
