Novak Djokovic parts ways with Goran Ivanisevic

World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic announced his separation from coach Goran Ivanisevic on Wednesday, concluding a successful five-year partnership that resulted in 12 Grand Slam titles.

Djokovic, who enlisted the expertise of Croatia’s 2001 Wimbledon champion in 2019, acknowledged the highs and lows of their on-court chemistry, attributing their collaboration to significant achievements in the tennis world.

Despite their fruitful alliance, Djokovic faced setbacks earlier this year, including a semifinal loss at the Australian Open and an unexpected defeat at Indian Wells. Taking to Instagram, Djokovic shared a heartfelt message, expressing gratitude for their friendship and reminiscing about their shared moments, including friendly competitions in online games like Parchisi.

Reflecting on Ivanisevic’s impact beyond tennis, Djokovic credited him with bringing not only serve expertise but also laughter and camaraderie to their dynamic.
