Amir Khan expressed his disappointment over the closure of his boxing academy in Islamabad, stating that despite his efforts to engage officials and the government, no progress was made.
He highlighted the investment and dedication put into the academy, which now stands unused.
Khan stressed the importance of government support to resolve the issue, as it impacts the aspirations of young boxers.
The academy, inaugurated in 2016 near Pakistan Sports Complex, aimed to groom boxing talent for the nation.
Despite an initial agreement with the Pakistan Sports Board, Khan is returning to England without resolution, hinting at potential legal action to reclaim the facility for future boxers’ benefit.
