Pakistan shifts focus to business, moving away from aid dependency

Federal Minister of Petroleum Musadik Malik stated Pakistan’s shift from aid dependency to a business-oriented approach, urging businessmen to invest in the country’s vision.

Speaking alongside Federal Ministers Jam Kamal and Attaullah Tarar in Islamabad, Malik highlighted the significance of the Saudi trade delegation’s visit, with 30 to 35 companies exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan.

He stressed the aim to replace despair with hope, promising progress and job opportunities, particularly through collaborations with Saudi enterprises.

Malik acknowledged Pakistan’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for foreign investors, aiming to transform bureaucratic hurdles into welcoming avenues for investment.

He expressed determination to cultivate a society marked by faith, hope, and economic inclusivity, stating the transition from government-to-government agreements to business-to-business engagements.

Additionally, he advocated for a level playing field to harness the nation’s talent and mitigate monopolization by a select few, advocating for unity in building a tolerant and moderate society amidst economic development efforts.
