Pakistan vows to bring culprits of Bisham attack to justice

Pakistan has reiterated its determination to hold accountable those responsible for the Bisham terrorist attack, which tragically claimed the lives of five Chinese nationals.

Speaking at her weekly news briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch denounced the attack as a malicious attempt by adversaries to undermine the strong friendship between Pakistan and China.

Baloch emphasized that such nefarious schemes will not deter the collaborative efforts aimed at advancing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and fostering mutual cooperation. She reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the relationship between the two countries, vowing to thwart any attempts to disrupt it.

Highlighting the deep-rooted bond between Pakistan and China as “Iron brothers,” Baloch underscored their joint resolve to combat these hostile elements and emerge victorious. She assured that Pakistan remains steadfast in ensuring the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions within its borders, with enhanced security measures in place.

Addressing concerns about the stalled Pakistan-India trade relations since 2019, Baloch attributed the deadlock to India’s unlawful actions in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. She reiterated Pakistan’s unchanged stance on the matter, emphasizing the need for India to reverse its exploitative policies in the region.

Expressing dismay over reports of Indian occupation authorities planning to auction lithium resources in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Baloch condemned the move as illegal and exploitative. She urged India to respect the rights of the Kashmiri people to their land and natural resources, calling for an end to such oppressive practices.

Baloch also voiced Pakistan’s concerns regarding the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, despite the UN Security Council’s resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire. She urged Israel’s supporters to pressure the country to halt its atrocities against the Palestinian people, lift the blockade on Gaza, and allow unrestricted humanitarian assistance to reach those in need.
