Anti-Terrorism Court grants extension of bail to PTI leaders Involved in vandalism case

In a recent development within the legal realm of Pakistan, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has made a significant decision regarding the bail extension of two prominent leaders from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, namely Faisal Javed and Aamir Mughal, in connection with a case pertaining to acts of vandalism. This decision was reached during a hearing presided over by Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra.

The proceedings unfolded as the court convened to address the plea for pre-arrest bail submitted by the aforementioned individuals. Present at the hearing were Faisal Javed, Aamir Mughal, and their respective legal representatives. Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra underscored the importance of consolidating all pleas for simultaneous consideration. However, a notable absence was observed on the part of the prosecutors on this particular Saturday.

The legal counsel representing the applicants stated that the case’s challan, or formal charge sheet, had been duly submitted to the court, thus urging for the progression of proceedings. In response, the court issued notices for the arrest warrants of individuals failing to appear before it.

Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra stated the necessity for complete attendance and instructed the timely acquisition of requisite copies.

Failure to adhere to these directives would result in the issuance of arrest warrants, as evidenced by the decision to issue one against Aamir Mehmood Kiyani for his non-appearance.
