Pakistan vs New Zealand T20 opener abandoned due to rain

The opening T20 international between Pakistan and New Zealand in Rawalpindi was abandoned due to persistent rain delays.

Originally set to commence at 7:30 PM, the match faced a three-hour delay before finally getting underway at 10:12 PM with a reduced format of five overs per side.

Shaheen Afridi managed to dismiss debutant Tim Robinson after just two balls, but the rain returned, forcing the umpires to call off the match.

The second fixture of the five-match T20I series is scheduled for Saturday, April 20, at the same venue.
