The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has finalized comprehensive arrangements to receive Pakistani Hajj pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), with the pre-Hajj flights operation scheduled to commence on May 9.

Joint Secretary and Director of Facilitation and Coordination (F&C), Ahmed Nadeem Khan, expressed confidence in the ministry’s preparations during a media briefing at the Main Control Office (MCO). He assured that the ministry’s annual large-scale Hajj operation, both in Pakistan and KSA, is geared towards ensuring a hassle-free experience and maximum facilitation for pilgrims.

Introducing various new initiatives, such as discounted packages and essential items like uniform baggage with QR coding, head scarves for females, and Ahraam belts for males, the ministry aims to enhance the pilgrims’ journey. Moreover, complimentary Hajj SIM cards with data and minutes, along with the mandatory Hujjaj App, will ensure connectivity and aid pilgrims in fulfilling their Hajj obligations seamlessly.

Addressing the supporting staff, Nadeem Khan emphasized the importance of delivering exceptional services to the pilgrims. He highlighted the ministry’s gradual shift towards end-to-end automation, with significant progress already achieved through initiatives like the Hajj App. Currently, the majority of intending pilgrims have been engaged through the app, receiving essential information regarding their Hajj arrangements.

Nadeem Khan further elaborated that all pilgrims will be accommodated in residential buildings near the holy sites, ensuring convenient access to Masjid-e-Nabvi and Roza-e-Rasool (SAW). With over 8,000 pilgrims utilizing the Hajj App to address their concerns, the ministry remains committed to resolving issues promptly, thus facilitating a smooth and fulfilling spiritual journey for all pilgrims.
