Pakistanis can finally watch Saba Qamar and Naumaan Ijaaz’s Mrs & Mr Shameem

Naumaan Ijaz and Saba Qamar’s original Zindagi series “Mrs & Mr Shameem” is set to premiere on the platform’s YouTube channel on April 26 at 7:30pm.

Initially aired on the Indian-owned Zindagi website and inaccessible in Pakistan, the show will now be available on YouTube almost two years after its original broadcast.

Celebrated for its exploration of societal norms and its fresh take on love and masculinity, “Mrs & Mr Shameem” follows the success of “Abdullahpur Ka Devdas” as the second original series to debut on the platform’s newly established YouTube channel.

Amidst conventional notions of romance and gender roles, “Mrs & Mr Shameem” presents an unconventional narrative, chronicling the love story of Shameem (Naumaan Ijaz) and Umaina (Saba Qamar), challenging boundaries and defying expectations.

With 20 episodes in total, the series will air every Tuesday and Friday at 7:30pm, starting from April 26.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Qamar remarked, “Portraying Umaina in ‘Mrs & Mr Shameem’ has been a remarkable journey for me.

Immersed in her character, I discovered empathy for her struggles and admiration for her carefree spirit.

This series boldly challenges societal norms, showcasing the true essence of love and marriage.

I’m proud to contribute to it and excited for its global reach through Zindagi’s YouTube channel.” Directed by Kashif Nisar, known for dramas like “Dumpukht Aatish E Ishq” and “O Rangreza,” the series is produced by Nisar and Misbah Shafique, with the script penned by contemporary writer Sajjad Gul.
