PM arrives in Turkey to express solidarity with earthquake victims

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reached Turkey to express solidarity with the earthquake victims.

According to media reports, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s special plane landed at Ankara Airport in Turkey.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistani delegation were received at Ankara Airport by Turkish authorities.

On behalf of the people of Pakistan, the Prime Minister will convey his condolences to Turkey and Syria.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on his arrival.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will visit the devastated areas of Turkey.

Earlier, the PM before leaving stated on Twitter, “I am leaving for Turkiye with a message of unwavering solidarity and support for our Turkish brothers and sisters from the people and government of Pakistan.”

He further said, “Natural disasters such as the earthquake in Turkiye & Syria are beyond the capacity of any single government to handle. No country, howsoever resourceful, can deal with the devastation of this magnitude.”
