PM Shehbaz Sharif seeks Qatari investment in Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to elevate its strong ties with Qatar into a mutually beneficial economic partnership during a meeting with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi.

Emphasizing the importance of increasing bilateral cooperation, especially in trade and investment, the Prime Minister highlighted the pivotal role of Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and welcomed Qatar’s interest in expanding its investment portfolio in Pakistan.

Assuring swift coordination through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), he affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating and enhancing investment opportunities.

Acknowledging the longstanding and cordial relationship between the two nations, Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed warm regards to Qatar’s leadership. In return, the Qatari minister expressed gratitude for the reception and reiterated Qatar’s commitment to fortifying the bonds of brotherhood with Pakistan and exploring investment avenues.

The visit of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs serves as a testament to Qatar’s keen interest in strengthening ties with Pakistan and exploring avenues for collaboration, as conveyed through a special message from Qatar’s leadership.
