PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui attacks PPP, defends Nawaz Sharif

Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader and Senator Irfan Siddiqui has tried to defend the removal of Ishaq Dar as chairman of the cabinet committee on privatization and other pertinent issues.

In a TV programme, when he asked to comment on the removal of Ishaq Dar as the Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Privatization to which Rana Sanaullah said that this decision was necessary, Senator Irfan Siddiqui says that only Rana Sanaullah can explain his interpretation but party leader Nawaz Sharif must have been consulted on this decision.

Irfan Siddiqui also attacked coalition partner PPP, saying that PPP tried as the first option to form the government together with the PTI, after PTI chairman Imran Khan refusal, there was no option except that PPP and us form the government together.

He said that if there was an agreement between the PPP and the PTI to form a government, then the PML-N would not have made any compromises, and we would have sat comfortably in the opposition. It has to be done, but the allies were also involved in these decisions. Shahbaz Sharif informed Nawaz Sharif after consulting with the allied parties.

He said that at least he knew that Nawaz Sharif will not take the prime ministership. He said that it is possible that Nawaz Sharif will take over the leadership of the party in the near future.

On Imran Khan’s tweet on perks and expenses in jail, he said that it has been 48 hours but so far there has been no explanation or denial. He said perks given to Imran Khan include his breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Khan sahib is spending Rs20,000 to 22,000 a day, his food is not coming from home, his food is cooked inside jail. On the question of the closure of X in the country, Irfan Siddiqui quoted the statement of Donald Lu that there is a limit to freedom and freedom is harmful when it enters a certain circle, then it cannot be allowed.
